GardenSite Planner ("the app", at gardensiteplanner.com) is a free garden planning tool. This page explains what information the app handles.
We do not have user accounts and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers.
Your projects (address text, site shape, plant lists, blueprints and notes) are saved only in your own browser or app storage on your device. We do not receive them. Clearing your browser data, or the "Erase my saved data" button in the app, removes them.
To work, the app sends requests to outside services. They can see your IP address and what is sent, and each has its own privacy policy:
If you prefer not to send an address, you can set the climate by hand and place the site on the map yourself.
If you choose to share, the app may send a plant name and a rough 100 km grid square (never your address or exact position) so other gardeners nearby can see popular plants. Only totals are kept. This is off unless you turn it on.
If you send feedback through the app, your message, and the email address if you choose to type one, is passed to a form service that delivers it to the app's owner. Only use it if you are happy with that.
The app is a general gardening tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated.
Use the Feedback button in the app.
